Hi ya'll

At the last fish auction here in Houston I was the lucky winner of the raffle for the Odyssea 24 Gallon tank system...I was so happy and this morning I decided it was time to put the stand together:%)

Here is the details on the setup, though I've discovered the tank I won actually came with 2--65 watt 50/50 bulbs *happy dance, happy dance* and if i've calculated it right that is almost 5.5 wpg

Here is a picture of a tank similar tothe one I won, this pic i found online:

I figured it wouldn't/couldn't be that hard, right? Well, in all honesty it wasn't too difficult, even without any picture or instructions, and I suppose I got it together correctly, except I can't figure out the doors on the stand...anyone have any idea how those are to go on? I have figured out the hinges, though they seem really tight, and there are no handles for the door, thus I haven't put the doors on yet

My main problem would be the filter system...I may be stupid, but I just can't figure it out I understand that the filtration system is in the hood. There is a square shaped hole (hole is from tank to hood area) on the left side, then to the right of it is a filter area, that has the media, then another blocked off area with more media, and on the far right is another "square area" with a hole that drops back into the tank.

In the Media areas there are these "removeable walls" and on top of them is what appears to be a spray bar that fits into this semi-circle groove...1 end is totally sealed off, the other has a square shaped piece that could take in water? along the pipe are holes....there is also another piece that is clear and looks like the spray/output section on a powerhead...

What do I need to do to get the filtration working? What am I missing? I'm thinking I'm missing some sort of pump, but am not sure and can't find the information on the hood itself, other than [link=this site, www.thehobbypalace.com]http://www.thehobbypalace.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=10&products_id=238" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link]

Anyone have one of these and can help me figure it out? For now I've just put the gravel, water, and some plants, and a betta...but really want to get it up and running so i can move everyone to their new homes

Thanks in advanced for the help

Talk to the organization that sponsored the auction to find who donated the tank. It was either a LFS or distributor than serves the area.

I believe that Odyssea is the new name for Jebo products. Seems that Jebo had some significant problems with electrical items manufactured for it. Simplest thing to do to get around the problems was to rename their products. Try this website: http://www.jebo.com.cn/.

thanks for the advice, I guess i'll head down to the lfs that the president of the HAS owns/runs this weekend maybe and see if maybe he has the extra piece...if not i'll be ordering a new canister sooner than i was expecting:%)

For now though, I've put some of the plants in there (java fern, crypts, and anibias (sp?)) and all are doing well going on 2 weeks and I haven't killed anything...oh also the betta I bought is in therehe thinks he's in heaven figure it wouldn't hurt him to not have the filtration

And to prove that I haven't killed the plants here's a couple of pics...i think they may even be pearling what do ya'll think?

Go to http://www.tropica.com and find some plants that want intense light. As long as you're going to the lfs for pieces, you might as well thank the man with a purchase or an order!

Ok went to the lfs yesterday (different than the one who donated it, still not sure who the donator was) and just happened to mention it to the lfs guy (Don) and he looks at me, and is like "Give me a second what size is it again? I think we have one" (and no they are not the ones to donate)

He comes back and says let's see if it works...and he plugs it in and puts it in the tank, and it starts spewing water like it should...I asked him how much it would be...he looks at it, looks at me, and says, "$10 ok?"

Yes, I took it, and it's plugged in and working...I'm a happy camper now
