Thanks Justin New: I have been looking on the internet today, and I ran into these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHHN9&P=0 they are for model planes, but if i put one sucking out and a filtered hole at the other end, this thing would suck some major air through, its got multiple voltage but where could i get something to power it, other then a hobbie battery pack. Wingsdlc Fish Guru What is this? Posts: 2332 Kudos: 799 Registered: 18-Jan-2005 | Ok most of the computer fans are farly low voltage and run on DC not AC like what comes out of the plug. So I would say go to Radio Shack and get your self a AC to DC converter. They are some what cheap... say 15 bucks? Also there, you should maybe pick up female/male ends to wire every thing together.. 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

You can pick up a converter, use an old plug from a phone or something (check that it's 12VDC), or use an old computer power supply to power them. I personally used an old PSU I had laying around, but a plug from a phone or something would probably work better. BTW, You should probably have the fans on the same timer as the lights Have Fun |

While computer fans are normally 12 or less volts DC, they also make small "muffin" fans (look like computer fans) that are 115VAC and can be wired directly into the hood. To use a computer fan, you would have to create a 115VAC to 12VDC power supply which is more parts and additional heat. Check Home Depot, or WW Grainger for instance.
