Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they as good as they claim to be? I'm wanting to use them to illuminate my betta tanks and by the description seem to be about perfect. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

They are toys..they don't 'enhance colouration' or anything else...they are expensive fun for the aquarium owner, and that is about it.

Hi,
Using your title, I looked them up on the web and I'll
go out on a limb and say that I would be concerned about
the brillance of the light in a small tank.

Many fish prefer dimmer light and with no plants for
shade (either floating, or something they can rest
under) you might over stress the fish. Bettas are
not a very active fish and I suspect that they would
fall into that category.

Thanks for the replies!

I do have plants in the tanks- primarily silk, a few hardy real ones- so there would be places for them to get away from the light if it annoyed them. Maybe it would be better to place the lights outside the tanks?

I would spend the money on something useful. They do nothing to enhance or benefit your fishes enviroment.

Well, what would be good to light multiple betta tanks while using only one plug and not taking up too much room? These are the only things I've found so far that seem to be what I;m looking for.

Perhaps several of the mini Azoo lights plugged into a powerbar?

Nah, I need something that'll take up the one plug I have left in my surge protector strip. That's why I was considering these lights.

they'll light up the tank, if that, and thats about it, if your betta tanks are next 2 each other, you could just get a strip light long enough to cover wll the tanks prob be cheaper.

they are fun though......

A light strip long enough to light up 4 tanks costs a lot more than the hi-lights.
