Silly quesion I know...but...
If one has a tank stand which has a given size, could one place a tank of those exact dimensions on that stand? I would think you could, but didnt' know if you had to leave some extra room :%)...or if it was designed to hold a certian weight.

Some will be designed to hold a certain weight, and if a larger tank is set upon such a stand, the stand could collapse. As long as the stand appears to be worthy of holding the weight of the tank, the dimensions shouldn't be too big of a problem. My 55 fits its stand exactly while my 62 and 100 both have a small lip extending out from under the tank...

i have no idea.. but i have a TV stand that i used for my 10g that has my 30g on it and its stil fine...

It would depend on the design of the tank stand. Can you post a photo with a few measurements please?
