Hi,

I have a 15-gallon tall aquarium in my bedroom and my girlfriend figures that it needs bubbles in it. I told her it would be pointless and noisy but for aesthetic reasons she insisted. Anyway I went out and bought a 15 bendable bubble wall and am now looking for the smallest and quietest air pump on the market. Its only purpose will be visual and I would like the least amount of bubbles possible. Since it will be running in the bedroom it must be completely silent. If anyone knows of the make and model of an air pump that fits the bill please let me know.

Thanks,
Plan.

I have a Rena air pump, it is very silent compared to the other air pumps I tried. Go check it out.

I agree, I use Rena pumps as well and they're definitely quiet.

Hi,
Personally, I think a "silent" air pump is like a
"one kick Harley." It doesent exist!

I prefer to use a quiet power head for circulation
and if you want bubbles, adjust the thing at the top
for more, less, or none, bubbles.

Rena is the quietest. and place it on small folded towel, or if placing it in a cabinet have it suspended in some stockings. both will reduce noise and stop it vibrating against a hard surface.
