How high should the water level be in a 30gallon tank? I have it up to about one inch from it spilling over. The problem is that my tank has a very slight bend in the middle of my front side. Should I be worried of anything?

Up to the trip at the top of the tank.

In other words, you are saying that I don't have "too much" water in my tank? :%)

How old is this tank? The only reason I can think of for the glass to bow out is that it's either old and/or missing a center support brace.

As for filling a tank, assuming come up to the bottom of the trim or slightly more. Below the lip at the top where the lid should sit.

Hi,
Actually the water level in the tank is entirely
up to you, and your viewing pleasure. Normally,
the water is kept at or about the bottom of the
black trim. That leaves space for splashing, and
at the same time keeps the light from the canopy
from shining "out the sides" into the viewer's eyes.
also, most HOB filters, and heaters are designed
to work with that water level.

If you have a problem with bowing, there is a defect
somewhere in the tank. Either the brace is loosening
up, or the tank has a defect. In the case of an
all glass tank, a 30 gallon tank should have no
noticable bow in the glass.

Ok, so my water level is fine then. ITs about the same level as the black trim. When I filled it up to that level, I noticed that it help reduce splashing/bubbles from my filters.

I got the tank and stand used. The seller said that its about 1-2years gld.

Thanks for the help!
