I just startede up a 30g tank, and I wanted CO2 in it for better plant results ( all my previous plants have died)

So i bought a Tetra AquaPltant system, wich consist of a can with CO2, a plastic tube and something green...

Pics of the green thing:

So here is the question, how often shall i refill the green tube with CO2? In the istruction manual it said that i should fill if 50% up the first time, then wait 24 hours, and then fill it up 100%, but the gas gous out of the tube so fast!!! - its about 16 hours since I filled it up 100%, and now its like 10%

If i fill it up 100% every 24h it would be lethal for the fish( which i don't have yet) and it would be very expensive!

Help?

Hi,
I tried looking up the system you mention but either you
have spelled it wrong, or I used the wrong wording, in any
event I could not find the product that you have.

The green tube is being used as what is called a reactor.
It is the device in which the CO2 and water are mixed and
the saturated water returned to the tank.

From your comments, its sounds like you either have a leak
or have installed it wrong. I see a green cylinder, with a
white cap, and a tube leading to it.

I suspect that you will need to hear from someone who
actually has one of those working, or you will need to
contact either the folks who sold you the system, or the
manufacturer to clarify the problems.

Okay, so the white cap, is not ment to be leaking the gas slowly? - That was my first thought

And the reson why i didn't ask at the LFS, was beceasu I thougt that it was so sophisticated that i just have to break the sealing on the can and it would flow the gas into the tank slowly, without me doing anything..

And you are right, I did spell it wrong, I'ts named Tetra CO2- Optimat...

Testing for leaks right now!

Okay, I have now found out that the white cap on the reactor is leaking BAD, if i let water pass through it, you cant even see that there is somthing "trying" to stop the water, like you were trying to catch water with a net!!!

Meeeh, what is wrong?:#(:#(
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

Hi,
I did a search on the product name, and found 10 listings
of the product either for sale or giving information.
However, none were in english and so I'm at a loss to
link you to any one of them.
I suggest you return to the LFS and ask, pointing out
your problems, or contact the company. Most companies
now days have phone numbers or email address so that one
can contact them.
