Tetra Whisper vs Tetra Whisper Advanced. | |

I have a question. I asked at the LFS earlier about the Tetra Whisper HOB filters and asked the lady why some had the Angel fish on the box (the white boxed ones) while some had a blue colorful box with some discus fish. She told me that the white box filters were the previous version put out by Tetra, that those were no longer being made, something of the sort. My question is, is this correct and if so, what is your opinion regarding either or both of them. I am about to buy one for a tank I want to set up and am considering wallet friendly options but dont want to buy something 'cheap' either. Thanks George. |

It's pretty classic now, they've had an angelfish on their box for years. On the other hand, looking at the product catalog on the Tetra website, I'm not seeing any major difference between the two filters, except for the fact that the Advanced Whispers don't appear to be clear like the past models have been... In any case, I've been using Whisper filters for a long time, from the time where the boxes were white with the Angelfish on them, so they're not bad filters by any means. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

It was my first filter in an all in one kit, and it is awesome! I however, got one of the newer Whispers and one of the Older ones, and the new whisper has a better flow, and an adjustable one at that! I love these filters though! ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |
