However, in this case would this lighting not be too large for a 20 gallon tank, even a 20 gallon long is only 30" wide. How were you going to place it above the aquarium. Were you going to hang it from the ceiling, or were you going to set it on top of the tank. Which ever way you do place it there will be an extensive amount of overhang. Jim |

It was not designed to be placed atop an aquarium. Eventually condensation would collect inside it caused it to rust ( they are sheet me and the connections corroded.
