It all depends on the UGF and what pump you are using Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? It is almost to powerful for my 75g, without the quick filter attachment I have to run it on the lowest setting. Does a really, really good job. Beside the circulation it provides you can a put the option quick filter on the bottom. The quick filter for the bottom of any of the aquaclear powerheads are pretty cheap and will really polish your water really good. I though I had really nice water untill I ran one and it made a difference. It really helps out after a gravel vac and water change to filter out material in the water. I don't ever by the hagen replacement filter media, instead I just buy the bulk packs of polyester and make my own media for it. It so easy to do. |

I had one hidden under the rockwork in my 125 that created current and kept detrius from settling on the gravel. Ran continuous for 2 years before being replaced (typical life of continuously operated pumps.) BigAls stocks quite a few of them cheaply. koi Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn. |
