skinny (ish) Fish Addict Posts: 506 Votes: 35 Registered: 05-Sep-2003	I should keep a very close eye (or ear) on it and listen for any vibration noises. You might get away with it but if the broken piece starts to rattle around inside then it could do some serious damage to the filter housing...

Replace it immediatly as it could cause unnecessary wear in the shaft housing. If this happens because of a few cents it will cost you many $$$ to replace the whole unit.
