thestooge Hobbyist Posts: 77 Kudos: 61 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Jan-2006 | I will get things started. I really like 2 kinds; Silver hatchet tetra and Lemon tetra. They are both fascinating fish! But to pick my favorite, I would have to say the hatchets! They are truly a unique fish (I love their shape) and are just amazing to watch! They are beautiful top level fish that interact with their enviroment very well. I like my hatchets! Fish CAN fly! |

I don't know why, they're just cool. Maybe its because nearly all of the tetra contaminants I find are Hemigrammus. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

Calilasseia *Ultimate Fish Guru* Panda Funster Posts: 5496 Kudos: 2828 Votes: 731 Registered: 10-Feb-2003 | Hard for me to pick a favourite right now, but I find it difficult to contemplate a community aquarium without Cardinals for some reason! Others on my 'hit list' of desirable species include Lemons, Rosies, Rummy-Noses, Diamond Tetras and Black Phantoms. One drop dead gorgeous Characoid I'd love to keep someday (but will need very specialised facilities for) is the Black Morpho Tetra, Poecilocharax weitzmani, but that is VERY DEFINITELY an expert's fish, one for the dedicated specialist. Sigh ... |
