my male krib has these little bumps just under the skin. where the bumps are the scales are raised a little bit. when he is under the light(which makes him slightly transparent) you can see darker patches where the lumps are.
what could this be and how could i treat it?

Would it be possible for you to post all your water peramiters and a photo. Is he stressed out at all if so you might comsider adding some Melafix at the required dosage. If you are using any carbon please remove it. If you can not do this your self take a good water sample to your LFS and get them to do a full test.

In the mean time this just might help.

he is perfectly fine in every other way, he eats more than his share and bosses all the other fish around as normal. i have only had him for around 2 weeks now, maybe thay are just battle wounds. he was in the tank with a couple of other big males, he was the medium size one and had heaps better colours than the others. i'll test the water and post the results later or tomoro.
