We feed the frog feeder fish, red minnows. The minnows we got have ick. Can the snails and frog get this or is ick only a thing that fish can get? |

At a guess I would say a strong no for the snail because of its hard shell but that does not mean its soft underbelly but that is usually a very tough slimy surface. The frog also has a slimy surface and I would say a harder surface for the Ich to attach its self. From now on I would be looking for a new supplier or start breeding feeder fish your self that way you would know they would be safe to feed your frogs. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I don't know anything about frogs. The problem with treating Ich is that nearly all the medications used to kill that parasite contain copper. Even the smallest amount of copper will kill the snails. Read the medication container directions and cautions before treating. Be sure to treat the minnows in a separate tank rather than house and treat the school of minnows in the main tank. Until the ich is completely gone from the feeders, I'd try feeding the frog with worms or something like crickets. Frank ![]() -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
