Keyhole cichlid with acne? | |
goldfishgeek Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 412 Votes: 38 Registered: 27-Oct-2003 | My key hole has spots, they look like pus filled lumps, they are under his scales, if you look down on the fish from above, you can see them, pus under individual scales? Anyone got any idea? the other one seems VERY subdued although the one with the spots is swimming around like normal. for now I will add melafix? I can't get to the shop till tuesday. thanks for any advice. GFG Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself. In the mean time use Melafix & Pimafix as directed. Less feeding, more airation, and reduce the lighting or turn it off. These things could/will help to reduce the stress. Also take a good water sample with you for a full testing. goldfishgeek Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 412 Votes: 38 Registered: 27-Oct-2003 | I have tried to get a photo, but really the spots are so small they don't show up. I have added primafix, and I did increase the air(must be getting better at this)and I switched the lights off last night after attempting to get a pic, poor fish. I will see if I can find anything similar pic wise on line. thanks GFG Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. I wanted to post a link to a site that I usually use to diagnose my fish when they are ill. See if this site helps: Pandora's Aquarium Best of luck with your fish |

She was part of a trio of beautiful black, really velvet black girls. sigh. thanks again tho, link is very good GFG Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. luvmykrib Fish Addict Posts: 585 Kudos: 256 Votes: 27 Registered: 08-Nov-2005 | The cloudiness is caused by the Pima-Fix and usually dissipates around day 3 or 4. After treatment be sure to do a 25% water change and run a carbon in the filter for a week then toss it to get all the med out. Sorry about the molly, some fish don't take kindly to meds, I lost otos and 2 pandas while treating my tanks, it's hard because you're trying to help them and it seems like it's working and then all of a sudden one passes. If possible you may want to move the mollies out during treatment, they always do better with some salt added to their water as well. Not sure how the cichlid will like that though.
