I have had a rash of deaths in the past week. I have lost 2 cleaner shrimp and 2 clowns (It looks like one more is knocking at death's door too )

I have observed the clowns death. They started to rapidly breath and then they lose their equilibrium and start laying down on their sides, swimming upside down, and running into the sand I have two clowns left and a watchman goby and I want to figure it out before they parish.

Thanks everyone

-Josh

Just guess it could be some type of poison Have you added any fresh water lately and if so did you dechlorinate it>

Another thing take a good water sample to where you buy your SW supplies and get a full test.
It is many years since I had SW and I lost all my fish within 24 hrs by adding 1Lt of fresh water directly from the tap.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

yeah never ever put water directly from the sink in to your tank. If you dont want to use declhorinator you can always let the water sit in a bucket for 24 hours and the chlorine should be gone. But id suggest dechlorinator then stir and let it sit for a couple minutes to insure the chlorine is gone.

Listen to what Keith says jmara.
I went thru a rash of deaths and learnt the hard way. I lost so many fish.
My nitrate was 'blood red!'
I suggest after the lfs has checked your water that you buy some DIY kits and do regular water checks at home.
Good Luck
