I have a female betta that needs to be treated for some fin damage. I'll be using Melafix and salt but first I wanted to know if that combination will cause any problems for the pygmy cories and otos that are in the tank.

Thanks

I would say go for it, nothing in there should be bothered by either the salt or the melafix.

good luck

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

I personally would not mix it at all. I you must remove the Betta and treat seperatly and there would no problem at all.

I thought that cories didnt take kindly to salt. Not sure on the ottos sorry. Might be safest to quarentine the betta for treatment.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Otos can be picky with salt, as far as I know dwarf corys don't always take well to it either. I would just go with melafix and clean water. You don't really need the salt.
