Ok, so it seems aussies have different names for tape than what americans have.

And the woman at bunnings thought I was as crazy as my husband for believing in Paper Packing Tape

Has anyone ever seen this for sale, anywhere?

We tried K-mart, Target, bunnings, Office works....the interwebs.

^_^

Yeeeees, but cannot think of where. This stuff is scary strong, nicer than using cello stuff too.

I'm sure it was a bulk office suppy company, Signet maybe?

See what you are looking for here?
They must have a few branches as I have often driven past one.

Nope not at our officeworks, tried there last night.
Calla said exactly why I want paper stuff.

It's to be used to make a clone, We did ok with cloth tape, but this paper packing tape (you have to moisten it before you use it) is stronger, so requires no stuffing of the inside of the form. Isn't sticky on drying so any pins that get stuck in 'me' don't get all gummy. And since it's stronger and stiffer will take less layers, giving a more accurate size of the human.

I need the form done this weekend so I can finish a skirt for the HIM show on the 27th, if I can't find it here (never heard of signet ) I guess I'll be bringing it back from the USA with me in a few months, along side my proper american mustard, and half a dozen other things I want.

Its mail order, safety, supplies and whatsit. Takes too long to deliver and I think they have a minimum spend.

*thinks* The only other faster option I can think of is maybe something from the art shop? I remember they had a DIY gummed paper thing, but it'd be a huge hassle.

EDIT: here you go Try searching "gummed tape"

HOORAY! You Found it

Granted I don't think it'd get here in time - BLAST! Just realized I never bought those earplugs :>(

Anyone ever seen these in a shop?
they're not the standard foam earplugs, cost $12 in the states, $29ish here in oz.

I think I have seen that paper at Bunnings in the paint section where they have all the masking tape. Or try the area where they have the small wooden model kits for assembling and painting.

The Ear plugs try one of the places that supplies and fits hearing aids.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Wow... I'm amazed... I must get to AU... It seemd that you all don't have store on every square inch of land there and actually have to look when you need something, Like in the 80's here in the states. Babel if I could get it to you in time I'd ship it to you both the ear plugs and tape.....
