Anyone Know What THIS Is? | |
Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003 | Adam and I just got back from our trip to Cairns, during which time we had a daytrip up to the Daintree Rainforest and then up to Cape Tribulation. On the way we spotted these, neither of us have seen them before. Any ideas? |

I'll post another pic in a bit that shows a cu of the green (guessing raw) one and the striped one and what the innards look like. Still trying to force the new laptop to do my bidding. ^_^ |

Now you are getting to what Aust is all about. Send that photo to the Cairns Botanical Gardens. I took a lot of photos up there and they identified them all. There was that many I sent up a CD. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I'm not sure I remember seeing anything about them in the books. We got a good bit of diving in. I got 3 in, adam had 2 and lots of snorkeling. Next time we go hopefully adam will be certified and we can do a liveaboard rather than the touristy type of diving. Considering Cape Tribulation was where Capt. Cook did his repairs I'm surprised that there wasn't more info on the historical importance of it. Keith, I just might have to send them lots of pics. Adams very helpful when it comes to giving me an id on something. Usually its a "tree" or "flower" |

I'd email the botanical gardens, sometimes they'll do quick IDs for free Looks pretty cool though, I like the way it de-shells itself! |

Old camel drivers used it to pack the saddle packs. Or, it could also be like insulation for the cold...Neat tree, neat fruit, neat pics! ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |
