Anyone Know What This Is? | |

This was growing as a ground cover type plant in our rental, I'd taken a cutting and it started rooting so I'd planted in our windowbox a while later, I'd just pulled it out (it got much much larger! and I wanted to know where to plant it in the gardens in the new place, but I don't know if it's a sun lover, shade lover or drought tolerant . It's got rather pale flowers right now, but they do tend to a deeper blue almost purple lavender color Any help? |

Does the buds look like square balloons just before they bloom? If so, its a "balloon flower". I'd have to look up the specific name. I have some in the front yard. I tend to keep the tags for at least a year or two, before my husband and kids find a way to destroy them. TTFN --->Ta-Ta-For-Now Kelly ;o} |

I did try looking for it on a google images search, didn't get very far with that. ^_^ |

This picture doesn't give me enough information to even try to identify it. I probably don't know it anyway, but, I'd need a better look at the leaf arrangement and the flower (especially the inside) and it would help to know if it's woody or herbaceous (from the picture it looks woody). There are thousands, if not millions, of species of plants in the world, but those criteria would at least help narrow it down. ><> |

The flower book shows pictures of plants arranged by type of stem and color of the flower. It would be an easy thing to thumb through the book to the color of the flowers and then page through those color pictures till you find your flower. There should be a similar publication for OZ.
