Eyes Trabeculectomy and Cataract operations update | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Eyes Trabeculectomy and Cataract operations update This is a one-day quick visit the left eye cataract operation was a success but there are some concerns the eye pressure rose far too high this meant several injections directly into the eye. This now means another operation to the left eye to do a minor adjustment to the flap to release more fluid this will/should lower the pressure to a safe level. The right eye cataract will be removed on Tue 20th March. There are no post operations expected as the right eye had no other concerns. Even with a very minium visit to the computer I am getting eye strain as I have only good vision with the left eye and as I explained it has problems of its own. There are other no/nos, must wear dark glasses when outside at all times, no night driving at all just not safe to drive, gym has been put on hold for 10 weeks and if I get the Drs OK back after Easter. I have not been allowed to swim for at least 18 months now it will be great to get back into the water. The both tanks have been going very well thank goodness. I had a few concerns over the very hot days with the Betta tank, the heater started to play up as well. As many know I always carry spares swapped it over all fixed. I lost the Betta for no reason at all just before the heater problems. I now have a reddish orange with traces of Neon blue as the ba Since I have had these eye concerns I have discovered several of FP members and their families have far worse than my eye problems even life threatening to these members I wish all the best to you and your family. If all goes well I hope to be back slowly after Easter so have a safe and happy Easter. There will be a lot to catch up with. I have written this in MS Word so that I can have several breaks before posting another one due now before posting. Regards Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? VOTE NOW VOTE NOW |

And let's see you get back to tending those fish and those orchids without the worries of the past year or so. |

It will be a week on Tue 27th since the operation. As I expected there were a few concerns because of the previous operation to the right eye. This means injections directly into the eye not the best to have but it starts to work straight away. Because of the injections into the left eye the touch up operation has been put on hold for the time being thank goodness. My both eyes are extremly light sensitive especially the right eye. Because of these opps I now have perfect clear vision also colours are brighter. This will make using my new camera a lot easer I can actually see clearly what I am shooting at No more eye drops for the pressure a big change after 25+. I had to do a little on the computer today Grand-daughter doing a Kidz program on FM local radio. I hope to be back slowly after Easter.
