Damn the girlfriend taking effeminate pics of me. Ill have to post something more manly now, time to find all the old reptile handling pics with me wrapped up in pythons and monitor lizards. .lol I might dunk my head in an arapaima tank with a strip of bacon tied to my head just to be more hard and masculine now. Damn, I thought my Steve Irwin days were over. |

I just figured it was a big bloody steak or atomic wings or something. I might dunk my head in an arapaima tank with a strip of bacon tied to my head just to be more hard and masculine now. If I were you I'd just stick to the atomic wings and bloody steak. Not as immediately life threatening. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

The pic of you and Mrs OldTimer makes you look too young to have retired! By the way, is that a genuine fighter pilot's moustache? You'll have to tell us all what you flew if so ... provided of course the government doesn't have to kill you and the rest of us if you do tell us ... [2] LongHairedGit. GREAT to see you with a Morpho peleides perched on your head! As a member of my local Entomology Society, I'm a BIG fan of tropical butterflies, and have a few shots of me in butterfly farms with assorted large butterflies perched on my fingers ... [3] CrazyRed ... WHAT double chin? * Shakes head * |

Well, Cali, I have to admit that particular picture is about 2 years old so I have aged a bit since it was taken. And although I'm retired from the Air Force, I'm not retired from working. In fact I actually retired from the Air Force in Jan. 1992, so over 15 years ago. I was 39 years old at that time. No, I wasn't a pilot, so you're safe for now. Jim |

We were on holiday on the Gold Coast & went to one of those Minus 5 bars, where everything inside is made of ice (the bar, the walls, the chairs, the sculptures & even the glass hubby is holding is made of ice). They dress you up in the cold weather gear & you are only allowed to stay in there for 30 mins. I'm trying to find my pic of when we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, cause it had a nice view of our lovely harbour. I can't find it anywhere Cheers TW |

One of the troopers in the area looks a lot like your husband, and we call him katch, it's part of his obnoxiously long, hard to spell last name. He's probably the best trooper around, and he's insane at catching people. He's got a lot of years on the job, and he mainly works the highway. I swear, he can stand on his front porch, sniff the air and tell you how fast you're going, even when the highway is 3 miles away. Very, very very good man. |

On the same day as these pics were taken they also filmed me rescuing ducklings from a pond, getting covered in leeches, pulling a fox cub out of a sewage works, hand feeding an otter, and wrestling a large escaped pet nile monitor lizard. It was a hell of a day, and I was broadly speaking, greasy smelly and covered in poo. For this I got paid £80 a week .lol Oh the glamour |

ACIDRAIN Moderator Posts: 3162 Kudos: 1381 Votes: 416 Registered: 14-Jan-2002 | OK, not the best pics. I took them off my high8 camcorder. I am choosing these pics from several years ago, as I see many people posting adventures they are/have done. So here is mine; LOL, can any of you say you have been kissed by a Mermaid? LOL, well I can! There were five of us in the water, and 8 Manatees with us for 8 hours. We were in 48F water for 8 hours! I know this because the reason the pics are not the best quality. I had it set for the slowest speed, of which I never stopped recording for 8 hours. These guys where actually competing for our attention this year. I had three of them come around me so tightly, that they pulled me about 15 feet down with them. It was too cool. The babies are the ones you have to really watch out for though. As they want to play with you non-stop. And if you are not careful, they will pull you down under. And, as you don't want to use a SCUBA tank while with the manatees (bubbles scare them, as they are a sign of aggression), you only use your snorkle, and you can quickly become out of breath and no realize how far down they have pulled you to play with them. Here is the baby Manatee, about 2 years old, and already over 7 feet long. As you all should know, they breath air since they are mammels. Manatees love two things, scratching them extremely hard with your nails to help remove all the algae growth on their skin, and a good belly rub. You can't see my hand in this pic, but I am rubbing her belly. These beautiful creatures just roll over and go into a trance when you start scratching their bellies. There is always a bigger fish... |

Theresa_M Moderator Queen of Zoom Posts: 3649 Kudos: 4280 Votes: 790 Registered: 04-Jan-2004 | Although I'm not sure of his exact age he's definitely young; we've only had him for just over a week. We're working on hand taming him and yesterday (when that photo was taken) was the first time he visited my shoulder. Four days after we got him I got another. I hadn't planned on keeping two, but the second was from a home with two dogs, three cats and a newborn baby...his cagemate had been killed by one of the cats. He has some tail damage from the cat as well. That bird (still unnamed ) is the crazy one, but I'm sure witnessing his friend's demise had something to do with that. Taming him is going to be more of a challenge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |
