How the heck would you clean it? What would you feed them? How long would it take for someone to find your body after attempting to clean the tank? It looks very pretty I must admit, but after watching "7 Pounds", I know it's not a great idea... TTFN --->Ta-Ta-For-Now Kelly ;o} |

I'm sure there is a market for them, I just hope it is true aquatic enthusiasts and not someone who would fall for, or invest in, the "aquatic monkeys" adds. I can't believe they want almost $500 for the set up. After reading the info on the site, I read they only have a year life cycle and you are not guaranteed to have them reproduce before they die off. The replacement jellies range in price from $39-$55 and the food is $149. They can keep it. TTFN --->Ta-Ta-For-Now Kelly ;o} |

Its like a rounded tank, with a certain type of flow. Anything with rounded edges is going to be expensive, think about how much it keeps to costs rays in round tanks. Jellyfish naturally have a short lifespan, so the tank isnt anything to do with that. Some people successfully keep them, same with Squid, Cuttlefish and of course Octopii/Octopuses, which i have personally kept. |

I'll have to be committed to going to the "darkside". The tank setup for the jellies looked like a modern fish "bowl", no bigger than a few gallons. (It's called a "Desktop" model.) It has a flat front & back, but rounded sides. The only difference is that it looks like the ba TTFN --->Ta-Ta-For-Now Kelly ;o} |

My opinion, is that because in the wild they like to squeeze themselves into small crevices both in and out of water (rockpools for example) they try to climb out...without the slight gaps of an aquarium lid they dont bother trying..That tank does look far too small for Jellyfish to thrive in, though. My octopus was an Abdopus ocellatus, very small species from the carribean. |
