Gosh, I can't afford to go Christmas shopping. I'm a poor college student after all. I am honestly going to be down to nearly nothing in like two months. So. I will just have to go and make stuff for people. For the people who I have to send gifts to, postage is enough financial committment to make it a nice gift You'd think I'm a tighwad to hear me say that but if you compared my paycheck with my bills, you'd understand. I'm going into debt really fast.

Anyway, I do know some people who are planning on giving/sending me things. I feel pretty bad about that because I can't give them much in return .

But the best thing I will get this holiday season is being home with my family. I just hope that things will go smoothly and they won't make me stay home... =\ I like them but this is the place for me right now in my life...

Remember when the Christmas stuff didn't come out until the day after Thanksgiving? This year Walmart started putting out decorations in August!

I'm painting a big lion in red santa gear on our front window. The year before last it was an ice skating horse The kids next door love it

my chat camels are coming along nicely, and we have most of our OS gifts ready to go (running late yet again

i'm doing some cooking for gifts this year too, super rich cookies and the like...

I dont really get into the Xmas spirit as much as i used to, but i do like te family aspect of it. Its just not as magical as it used to be.

Plus, this year running thru sprinklers is illegal

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

From a Mear Male,s point of view.

Every year I give the daughter 40- and my two grandees 1 or 2 large containers full of goodies. Photo of last years. The grandson is carying a large varse to his mum and the granddaughter is unwrapping some of her cooking goodies.
To do this I am buying all the year. Some times it starts between christmas and the new year.

Yes I know I am too organized for a mear male mortal.

RS, I know exactly what you mean! We are up to Christmas number 2 for Ryan. I get to wrestle with his desire to pull the tree over so he can see all the nice ornaments and lights.
Ryan's presents are organised. I'm not going to put them under the tree though until the day is closer or he'll unwrap them before he's meant to!
You know there isnt really that long... 7 weeks or something.

I'm more excited about Christmas shopping than usual, just because it's Cameron's first Christmas. I usually don't do my shopping until after Thanksgiving, though.

I hate all shopping.

xmas shopping is even worse than normal.

i refuse to be dragged out of bed at 9am on a saturday to be made to carry bags and walk 45 miles round a stupid shopping centre. ]:|

i also dislike shopping with elderly and young children as they seem to have it in for me

100% of my xmas shoppig will be done from my seat.

Well i have to do it soon..because i have to send it to my family and friends in Norway...and i know that i have to send it soon because last time i sent it, 3 weeks before christmas, but they got it 1 week after christmas.
I don't know about you but i really have problems to find what to buy..i allways call them to ask what they want, but i allways get the same reply.."i dont know..just buy something".
Then iam shopping for things,i allways buy from the first or second shop..i like it i buy it..like my suit for the wedding..i bought it from the first shop..i dont like to go and see all the shops to find one suit.
When me and my wife are out to buy things..like when she wants to buy some new cloths..i can come with her at some shops..but when she takes 2 hours at each shop..i can't take it so i tell her we will meet at a local coffee shop later..she can then shop what she wants and i can go shopping for the things i want..but christmas shopping is something special so we allways go together with the children

I am half done my shopping, most of what I have is wrapped. The ornament boxes are out, I have to see what has to be replaced. And I am hanging my outdoor lights before the snow gets deep on the ground.

I LOVE the Christmas season!!!!!!

OMG this drives me nuts... they are playing Xmas carols in the supermarket already (and have been for a couple weeks)...

no respect for Halloween

I'll do my Xmas shopping, as always, in the last week...

Mind you I still have some decorations up from last year

and my best buddy left his tree up all year

oh well, season's greetings everyone (buy more Coke)

I've picked up a few little things here and there, have asked my kids for lists, and started a list of my own

Because of our living situation we're kind of forced to shop early, plan and budget.

This year my 5 kids will be here the week before Xmas so we'll do their gifts then. On the 23rd we drive them back to MI, stay overnight, then head to ON the next morning to spend Xmas with my husband's 4 kids

When I was in the shower this morning I was seriously thinking about what to get certain people. I also have at least one quilt to make and need to get going on that quick.
Of course having our first snow storm puts me in the mood for Christmas!
