Hi Wings,
I too want to say congratulations and welcome to
married life!
Just remember the two simple words that, when properly
said, with corect intonation, will solve any conflict...
"YES DEAR."

And, rememember the three simple words that will energize
your relationship... "I LOVE YOU."

I had some troubles with the first suggestion when first
married, but after 28+ years, Susan has me "trained ."

Thanks Frank!
I just stoped into work to get some stuff for the tank moving.
Prime, Carbon, Socks, Cycle, and a dog food scoop for gravel. When this customer came in and the boss told him I am getting married this weekend. Here is what the guy told me:
~Four words to remember, I do and yes dear. After that I will suffer from PMS(P....(dont remember), Male, Stupidity. He was probably upper sixtys. Pretty funny I thought.

On a down note.... no water in the new house! Joy! That means moving my thanks becomes even more fun! Can you all tell I am really happy right now? Free rent for May....

Ok work to do....

Oh man,

This all seems very aggrevating to me, how do you manage to stay calm?
~Four words to remember, I do and yes dear.
I am not somebody who seeks an argument, but I am not shying away from one either. So for me, there are 4 other words: ~ What! and I am sorry

Well tank are moved. Fish in only one tank though. The fish from my two other tanks are still in rubbermaids with air stones.

Tomorrow I am going to get a diatom filter from work. I should have got it today but for some reason I didn't even after someone asked me about it. Some of my tanks are in pretty nasty shape.

Planted tank is super bad with all the clay. Fish in the new tanks tomorrow afternoon or late evening.... I hope...I haven't fed them for almost a week now so they shouldnt be makeing a lot of waste.

Time for bed!

Noon today... fish are still in rubermaid but they will be going into the tank soon. I have a power head running in the tank and a diatom filter picking up the junk.

The next time you hear from me I will be a married man!

Well I am back from the honeymoon. Things were really great! Wedding went well and now it is time to get our very messy house in order.

Fish report!
Water is low in all the tanks but everyone seems to be doing fine. Water is now hooked up in the house so that made me a very happy Wings. Will report more later when we can walk through the house! Hope all is well with you all!

Well said, Bensaf

Hope all is good, give us an update on the tanks and so forth when you have a little more time.

So you have water, does that mean that you already moved in or are just the tanks there?

Congrats Wingdsc!

How many times have your said "Yes Dear" already. Remember the fish always come first

If you have water issues, you could always try you hand at growing your plants emersed.

Thanks y' all!
(spent too much time in the hills of TN!)

Pictures will be posted as soon as I can get my hands on them. I can probably post pictures from the honeymoon some time tomorrow after we get thme back.

Speaking of the honeymoon..... we checked out the TN Aquarium in Chattanooga and the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg. I will have to see how the pictures turned out of the prety fishes. The Chattanooga Aquarium had a few planted tanks which were pretty much all Giant Val and java moss. The thing I liked about the planted tanks there was they used Seachem Flourite.

LF,
I guess you can say we are moved in... We have had most of our stuff in the place for about two weeks now but we are just now living in the place and trying to give our stuff homes.

Tetra,
I have only said yes dear a few times to bug her.
If you have water issues, you could always try you hand at growing your plants emersed.

Well the fish need water so the whole emersed thing isn't such a good idea

Tank update:
I lost another Dwarf Neon Rainbow. I don't see any signs of problems on the other fish but I am now down to 4 rainbows from 9. This kind of worries me a bit.

This afternoon I am going to do 50% water changes on all 3 tanks and some trimming on the planted tank. Wish me luck being its been a while!

Oh! One last thing. I thought you guys would like to know that my wife is going to be taking over one of my old tanks. I think she wants to do frogs or crabs... I guess its a good start...

Wings,
I lost another Dwarf Neon Rainbow

How do you lose them? Are they bloated? I am having issues with a female that seems to show signs of dropsy, but she did that before. Otherwise she is all normal, eating and such.

Just finding them belly up at the bottom of the tank. I don't see anything wrong with the others. No bloating or white marks or spots or anything of the such. Seem to be eating and breathing like normal too. I really don't know whats happening but I am not going to be chasing meds in this tank.

Tank Report:
No algea break outs, back on EI. Need to test my new water and make sure my CO2 is running on track.

did some testing and:

KH 12 (was 17 at the old place)
PH is 7.2 in the tank giving me about 26 ppm CO2.

Going to probably drop the ph to about 7 to 7.1 as a goal.

That is quite some KH you got there, guess you don't have to add any baking soda. What is the GH in your area?

Wings,

Is the "Much more plant room with out the "thing"... " and the "...... thanks LF!" directly related ?

Just wondering,

Oh, I always took the thanks LF as a good thing,

I just wanted to know if you were thankful that you finally listen to my advice with regards of the "thing".

Can't wait to see some shots of the new setup and the wedding of course. Wings in a suit and not having a bandana () on his head.

Not having a bandana on my head? Are you talking about the fishing picture? That was a hat! Just not quite on right.

Here are some wedding pictures...
Wedding pictures

And one close up of the tank. Flowering anubias...
Tank

Tested Ph last night right before the light went out. 6.8 or 6.9. This gives me super high CO2 of 53 or 68... something like that. Fish seem to be doing just fine though. Should probably turn it down a tad...

I guess thats about all I have for you right now.

Wings,

Yeah, I mean the fishing photo, and I know it is a baseball cap .

Nice shot of the flowering Anubias, is that your first? I usually have around 5 flowers at any time, some of them coming, some going, and the others in full bloom. BTW, the whole life cicle of an Anubias flower is much longer in a low tech, less light tank.

Even nicer shot of your wife and yourself. Although, I doubt that this picture will make it into the Show Album . Seems like you are a funny guy. Where is that beach?

About the tank: That is probably a CO2 range where you have to start to watch out for your fish. If nobody shows a sign of discomfort then I would leave it like that.

Have fun,

Ingo

How many Anubias plants do you have again? I have two. A big bari and a nana. Will the nana's flower?

Beach is on Lake MI and thanks for the complements on the pictures.

CO2... Fish seem fine so I am going to leave it as is.

For the rest of you. Thanks so much for your good wishes. But I have to get going cuz the wife needs me. bye guys!

Wings,

I have about 10 Anubias of the species Nana and Barteri, I don't remember how many of each though. One thing is for sure, my nana has flowered just as often as the barteri, even once in the 29G low tech / medium light tank.

Well I am looking around to try some new plants since I am kind of starting over with this tank.

Plants of interest are:
Crypt parva
Pelia moss
Riccia

Want to find something red too. Not so sure what I want at this point. I have been looking on Aquabid.com and could get these guys for about 50 dollers including shipping. I think I am going to wait and see what I can get in through work before I jump on something and pay too much.

Tonight I am going to start messing around with moving plants and hardwear around in the tank. Wish me luck!

I am wishing you a lot of luck, remember what happened when I messed around just a tad too much with my tank.

About the Riccia: just get a small piece and grow it out, much cheaper and nice to watch it multiply. That's what tetratech did, or is still doing.

Yep, totally agree. If it's gonna grow it's gonna grow and you'll have plenty of it. If it doesn't work out than you didn't waste alot of time (hairnets or thread) and money.

Thanks for the input. This might be down the road a little ways before I get the goodies. Need to see what I can get from work first.

I didn't really do too much to the tank tonight. Did some trimming and replanting of wisteria and moved a tad bit of sunset. Nothing much more.

Hope to talk the wife into a camera soon. She is a photo person so I don't think it will be too hard...
