I have bought 2 driftwoods for my 75g 2 months ago and left it in a tank with water to clean them well and not to float. Now i had the driftwoods in my tank for 3-4 weeks and no problems until 2 days ago.
I noticed the water got lots of particles like sand/dust coming from the woods.
I thought it was going to be better and the filters would clean it,but now it's really bad.
I took them out and cleaned them very good but still it's really bad.
What should i do?

Well, it woul dhelp if you know what kind of wood it is. Some woods last much longer underwater than others. What is probably happening is the wood is breaking down and the fibers are basically flaking off. Some woods do this more than others.
One way to deal with this is to remove the wood from the tank and use a high-pressure hose to blast away the loose particles, but this will not solve the problem permanently.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

Hmm... I still think your best bet is to blast them with high-pressure water and see if that doesn't clean them up. How does the wood feel? Is is soft and spongey or hard and smooth? If it's soft and spongey, then you may be out of luck, but if it's smooth and solid, then I honestly don't know what's going on other than the "outer layer" of the wood is rotting away and basically shedding.
Hopefully someone with more long-term experience with this sort of thing can help, because I'm at a loss...

Had a quick look at your profile robby, is the pleco in that tank with the driftwood I'd assume it's just the pleco doing pleco type things and snacking on the wood. That would cause some of it to flake off and float about in the water column.
Thats all I could think of .

It could be the pleco but i doubt it,because it's really small particles like dust and it's a lot of it.
I think i will take the bogwoods out and leave it in a tub to see if its doing the same there in the water if not it must be the pleco like you say Babel.

Take them out and give them a very good hard scrub with a still brush then hose them off again. Soak them for a week again in old tank water to see if they have softened up again. If you can use a steam cleaner use that as well.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I found the driftwood that was making the water bad. It's one of the first driftwoods i got, the "outer layer" of the wood is rotting away.
So now that wood is out of the tank
