Hey guys!
This tank my son keep and for the moment there are no fish in it!
This is an older pic of his tank.


We are going to re-aquascape this tank with some new ideas we have
Since there are no fish in the tank we will have a lot of fun to aquascape this tank and we will make it various biotopes like Amazon,lake and river setup.
We will add pics step by step and we would also like to get some ideas from you guys!

I love to see tank set ups Rob!
That first set up is sparse, but interesting. Shows creativity. How old is your son?

I'll be looking forward to seeing the end result of each new set up!

In that first pic., that tall plant in the back left corner I believe is a Cryptocoryne x willisii, origin: Sri Lanka (Asia). Is that real or fake & where did you get it, if you remember? The reason I ask is because that is the plant that is on my background pic. of my 55 gal. tank. It's in photo booth, my two tanks, & you recently commented on it. I've tried to bring my picture theme forward into my tank & thought it would be neat if I could get that plant into my actual tank.

My son is 12 years old.

We buy it from an shopping center that has an lfs and they get plants from Germany..very good and healthy plants.

Nice tank. Tell him to get in there and scrape that algae of the back wall. I love that cryptocoryne in the back.

Thats not algea!!
We have done some work on the tank but not much since we have been very busy.
Will post pics later when we have done some work.

Honestly, I like the tank as it is. I'd have left it alone
and as the smaller plants sent out runners, I would have
guided them to help fill in some of the space between
the small front plants. It actually shows great promise
as it is, it just needs to mature.

Is that a background then if it is not algae? Never seen one like it. Did your son make it?

Yes it's an background..it was a cheap 3d background!
It's not showing well there because it halfway of the glass.

It looks like sponge painting, interestingly. Come to think of it, you could probably do just that, if you were after a unique background. Perhaps a light colour to resemble rocks/coral, and a dark to represent water....

i like the tank the way it is. but, i guess its your choice, just keep that photo incase u wann go back to that.
i consider it one of the most beautiful, yet simpleest, tanks ive ever seen. sad to see it go

the old set up was very sparse yet looked simplsitically beautiful.

Very very sorry for the delay guys!
Here are some stones we have found to make the River setup!
We have been very busy lately and no time to aquascape the tank yet..but we will begin tomorrow with the background and i will add pics as we proceed with the project.
Some of these stones i will use aquasilicon so as to make the shapes of the rocks that i want!
