10 G Bottom Feeders | |
JBennett181 Hobbyist Posts: 70 Kudos: 46 Votes: 2 Registered: 10-Jan-2008 | i have a new 10g tank i got it cycling and now i have 3 neons, 3 halrequin rasboras, 3 longfinned zebra danios and a molly fry. they all get along great but i want to find a cool bottom feeder i can put in there. is there enough room and if so what should i put? by the way the molly fry is about 1 month old......i thought about corydoras but dont you have to get several of them? i like feesh |

Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001 | There are some bottom feeders that would fit in a 10gal, like otocinclus cats and kuhli loaches etc. I would be hesitant to put any in with your stocking though, as the ones that can be kept on their own are quite messy and the ones that aren't messy generally like larger groups. At the moment, depending on what type of filter you have, I'd be thinking about maybe an apple snail or a large ramshorn snail. Are you planning on filling out your schools or moving the molly or one of those groups to a different tank in future? |

I would take out the fry and the danios and increase the neons as they do better in schools.
