Whiptail Pleco pics | |
Brengun Big Fish Posts: 355 Kudos: 187 Votes: 110 Registered: 22-Jun-2007 | I have noticed no whiptail pleco threads. They are one of my favourite aquarium inhabitants and I have had 3 since I first set up my tank. I love these guys. The first photo shows why they are called whiptails, as they actually have a whip looking appendage on the ends of their tails. I don't think the whip actually does anything, just decoration. Sorry about the snail eggs in the foreground of the first photo. This one was hiding under a piece of java fern. He thought I couldn't see him. They are getting so quiet now they don't mind a few close up shots. |

I have not seen any Whip tails at LFS for a long time maybe they have gone out of fashion or are only seasonal. I had some too many years back but I had no luck with them. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Are they pretty social or do they prefer to hide all day? Anyway Brengun you have some nice looking plecs take good care of them!
