So I have started up a 10 gal I had sitting around and put my lil Betta (Otto Van Bismark) in it. I am waiting to get some other fish (?) but I wanted to show a picture of it.

That's a very nice looking tank

Any thoughts about what other fish you'd like to add?

Well I am still working on it. A guy from my wifes work is getting rid of four tetras and a male guppy. So instead of him flushing them down the toilet I told him that I will take them. I am not sure what I will put where cause I am thinking I may put the guppy in my 20 gal. But I am not sure how my betta would take to the guppy? So maybe the tetras? Still working on it but in no hurry.

Bettas are typically nippy twords guppys. Many people suggest this for a 10g:

1x Male Betta
6-8x Neons
2x Ottos

True, but if it's a matter of chancing that or the guppy being flushed I think it's worth trying.

The neons do like to be in larger groups, but I'd start with the 4 and increase the school later. Going from 1 fish to a big number that fast can cause problems.

Good luck

Yeah I am still trying to balance out my 20gal and 10 gal.
SEE: http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/threads/19013.1.htm?0.6076027#

So I may try to put the guppy (and three male guppy from my wife) in my 20 gal (not sure if I have enough room) and the four tetras in my 10. Whew Lots to try to plan but I am saving fish (and they are free ) SO I will keep ya all updated.

Cardinal Tertas go very well with a M Betta I would prefer them over Neon Tetras as they are usually a stronger fish and in my opinion more atractive and they are certainly easy to look after. You could also add a few Ottos once the tank has settled down and it has some algae for them to eat.
My Desktop tank has a Betta and Cardinal Tetras photos in link

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

So here is my question. This weekend I was able to save:
2 Red Phantom Tetras
2 Glow-Light Tetras
4 Khulii Loaches

These were in the WORST unkept tank I have ever seen.

So I put them in this tank and they are happy and feeding (which the previous owner WASNT DOING ) But I am not sure if this will be to much? I clean my tanks once a week so dont think it will be to bad. I want to try to put 2 otto's and 2 more Glow-Lights but this may be pushing it. What do you all think?
