Update on 50cm cubed Planted tank | |
Forever-mango Fish Addict Posts: 611 Kudos: 586 Votes: 35 Registered: 01-Dec-2003 | The water has cleared and I was able to take some photos of the tank. The plants at the back doesnt look that bunched up thus im purchasing a few more bunchs to add to the back. You can clearly see the AquaClay at the back of the tank. I also need to find a way to hide the equipment. The gravel is actually sloped towards the front. The back is about 2inchs thick and the front is about 1cm thick. The catfish loves moving around the tank, but the sparkling gouramis likes to hide around the tank. Im thinking of adding some neons as there isnt any fish swimming around until feeding time. mangor34 attached this image: Last edited by mangor34 at 15-Jun-2005 05:28 Last edited by mangor34 at 15-Jun-2005 05:31 |

And I love, Love, LOVE Sparkling Gouramis!!! You should get some tall plants to put along the left side to hide as much of the equipment as possible, I can't wait to see it when it's had a chance to grow out a bit. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

Forever-mango Fish Addict Posts: 611 Kudos: 586 Votes: 35 Registered: 01-Dec-2003 | Its quite a shame my old man actually painted the tank in blue...makes it look like a tank at the lfs...I quite liked the black background in the previous tank, gives it a nice contrast towards the plants. Im trying to get stacks of plants to cover the blueness. The tank is a 33gal (50cm cubed), it was previously used to house some cichlid fry, but after my old man got rid of them, this tank was left to dry in the garage. Since my catfish was getting bigger I decided to move everything from teh 6gal to this 33gal. Looks too spaced out compared to the 6gal. |
