I have a 5 gallon mini bow with a betta in it. It sits on my desk. I noticed a crack in the acrylic on the front about 4 months ago. Then I just noticed about 3 more today. The tank is not moved. Nothing is hitting it. Has any else exprienced this with acrylic before? Is it going to end up leaking? Is there anything I can do to salvage it. They are on the bowed part almost in the middle.

The cracking is occuring at the point of greatest pressure. If your mini-bow was manufactured by All-Glass, let your lfs know about the problem and request the manufacturer's trouble number. All-Glass does a very nice job with customer complaints.

If it's cracking, eventually it will leak. So take care & keep an eye on it or better, remove the fish & water to another tank.

Before you have a waterless tank disaster go and get another one and just transfer everthing over and there should not be a problem.
