The polystyrene sheets were cut to fit the back of the aquarium then carved to resemble roots and rocks before being painted. The sheets were glued into place with space left behind the sheets for heaters and filtration. Strategic slits allowed the flow of water throught the equipment. I did find this product - http://www.tmc-ltd.co.uk/aquarium/natureform-backgrounds.asp. It may be more extensive than what you were thinking about but... This DIY site ihas some links to other DIY sites - http://littleboxofbones.com/fishtank/tankrebuild/. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

I usually throw clumps of java moss on my filter intakes. The moss acts as a prefilter, and the moss apperantly consumes the stuff, and it hides the filter intakes rather well (the tanks I've done this in are heavily planted) |
