From what i saw, it didnt look like anything different from a regular tank, except that it had like a mound of (?sand?) in themiddle of it. Is the dutch way the type where you build the box thingy around it? That was pretty cool though! Do you have a dutch tank? ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |

But I am not quite sure. No I dont have one if I do its not on purpose. mts.gif" border="0"> I vote do you? My Tanks at Photobucket |

FRANK Moderator Posts: 5108 Kudos: 5263 Votes: 1690 Registered: 28-Dec-2002 | Hi, In addition to the link I posted, the Dutch style uses plants to create the aqua-scape in the form of a well tended garden such as the terrestrial gardens that the Dutch had become famous for. No rocks, or sticks would be in the way of this well planned and tended garden. The Natural type of tank emphasizes a scene from nature and is characterized by the flow of hard-scape, rocks and sticks as they might be found (generally ideally placed) in nature, and the use of plants to complement that flow. In either case the star is the "look" of the tank be it a scene from nature, or a snapshot of a well tended garden. The fish are "Incidental" to the tank and are designed to enhance the scene, not detract from it or peel the eye from it. -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |

I am not a fan of the Dutch Tanks then! Natural is the way for me! Thanks for the link! ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |
