Just dry it off as much as possible and then let it set. Don't try to turn it back on while it's even remotely wet -Josh |

Wingsdlc Fish Guru What is this? Posts: 2332 Kudos: 799 Registered: 18-Jan-2005 | If you can take any of the light apart it will help it dry out. I have dropped my 18w corelife in a tank before. I took everything I posibley could apart and let it sit over night. Put it back together and it worked! Best luck! 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

Also, the starter could have water in it. The starter is a small round can that twist lockes into a socket. The can is hollow and could easily have filled with water, even in the short time it was immersed. Check it along with the bulb. (may sound stupid but really works, especially with solid state electronic devices) keep it under a warm air blower (a washroom hand drier for instance) for some time to get all the moisture evaporated! i managed to get my mobile fone back into working condition using the same technique when it fell into the tank during some emergency maintenance |

If any moisture/water has got into any of the other parts you can not get to it is possible that it will not ever work again. Also remember if there is water/moisture in it and you turn it on it could blow a fuse at the merter box (just a warning) Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I too would have taken it apart and put it in a warm place (near the window/or other source of warmth if you are in depths of winter) to dry it. ~~~ My fish blow kisses at me all day long ~~~ |
