The fluval 404 on my 75g is starting to get to me. Its been noisy for the last couple months. I replaced the impellar shaft since I thought the old one was bent a bit. I have tried everything to keep it quiet. Has anyone else noticed fluvals running loud. Im just afraid to come home and have it quit on me.

I may have fixed it now, I seated the shaft in the hole in the housing then put the impellar and magnet on, then but the cover on. Hopefully this works.

It is not the first or will it be the last time I have heard this problem. It is usually the impella have a few on hand at all times. Also clean it very regually I clean mine at every monthly filtration clean. I do not have a Fluval I prefer the Eheim a perfectly quite unit.

I love fluvals, and I've never had a problem with them in the past year. After about a month, my Fluval Plus 1 gets a little noisy (a rattle sound), but when I clean it and brush out the inpeller housing, everything is fine again. My Fluval Plus 3 filters are perfectly quiet, and I've never had a problem with them, and same for my 4...

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
