	Silicone question

How long must Silicone sit for unimportant(or less important as compared to tank sealing) things such as DIY CO2 sealant(for the top of the pop bottle). It should be dry most of the time anyways, I just want to make sure it's airtight. It's been set for about 12 hours now, is that long enough? Another tip is smell when the odour has gone it is usually set and dry. Also contact the manufacturers and be on the safe side.
