Power filters would be enough for that tank but a cannister is useful and filters better with less water movement. I dislike either of those cannisters and use a jebo odyssea cannister. Between those 2 I'd go with eheim. Fluvals don't have as good of water flow path and get some water bypassing the media as well as I've heard of more parts breaking on fluvals than eheims.

Casper,

I use an AC and an Eheim Pro II on my 125G. Ilike the redundancy of two filters and two heaters. One breaks and the tank is not dead!

I chose the Eheim Thermofilter over a similar Fluval due to reputation and the integrated heater with digital readout.

I certainly would use the Eheim. Go to WWW.eheim.com/
and have a look at their full range with all the details about each filter.

I have the Eheim Pro 11 best filter I have ever bought in 35+ years

You will need the Fluval 304 or the Eheim 2215 for that size tank.

What's wrong with the AC70? I'd stay with that.

Check out my work in progress (website)
www.randystacye.com

I have a "DIY Canister Filter" page. If you have a sump I'd also check out my "DIY Filter Sock" page.

I prefer filter socks but canister filters (especially the one I show) works excellent!
