I know my local fish shops sell a spray and I have actually used an aquarium glass cleaner before that worked really well. But usually I just use some fresh water.

Hi,
The easiest, and least expensive way to clean the glass
of the deposits is to pour a small amount of vinegar on
the glass and scrub the glass and vinegar with a plastic
"scrubby." Be sure to purchase a scrubby without soap
built in as some are. Another way is to wet it and
scrape it off with a safety razor blade.

Spraying the glass with a cleaner (from the LFS) still
requires scrubbing, and if you purchase a glass cleaner,
do not use it around the tank. Be sure to rinse the
glass throughly. Commercial glass cleaners contain ammonia
and other compounds that are toxic to fish.

I get a little bit now and again. All I do is run it under warm tap water and use a sharp razor blade. There are several glass cleaning pads on the market today just have a good look before you buy.
I have been using the same brand and type for several years. I also use it for cleaning the glass on the inside of the tank and never a problem. As you are not is Aust the brand and type name would not help you at all

I use a sharp razor blade and a toothbrush. Run over it with the razor blade first .. then go over it with a tootbrush.

I usually have a lot of extra time on my hands so i do it while watching TV. Not a short time project.
