Packet cake mix | |
Delenn Hobbyist Posts: 139 Kudos: 63 Votes: 10 Registered: 07-Sep-2009 | Wtg Callatya! Congrats on finding a better mix! Lol. The Circular is just what we Americans call the packet of sale info that a store mails out to consumers to alert them of the weekly sale. The stores often times keep copies in the front of the store for people who may not have received it through the mail and still want an idea of what's cheap before starting to do their shopping. |

Delenn Hobbyist Posts: 139 Kudos: 63 Votes: 10 Registered: 07-Sep-2009 | I was wondering the same thing Kelly, cause I have no idea how high a 250c oven is. It doesn't sound very high. My oven goes over 500 but that's in farenheit. |

FRANK Moderator Posts: 5108 Kudos: 5263 Votes: 1690 Registered: 28-Dec-2002 | Hi, Here is a site for converting just about anything to something else: http://onlineconversion.com/temperature.htm Thats for the temperature conversions, if you truncate the link to the .com then it converts just about anything. http://onlineconversion.com/ 500C = 932F I think our oven gets that high or, perhaps a bit higher, if you put it on the self cleaning option. Then everything in there turns to dust to be wiped out with a damp cloth after cooling. Frank -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |

Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003 | Frank, my moms oven did a self cleaning at a similar temp, but it had a lock on it in order to access the function. Not sure I'd have much of a pizza left after the 2 hour bake, or any change left in my bank account after the electric bill was paid . Of course, if you timed it with a self cleaning, and just left the pizza stone in there, I'm sure the stone would be at the right temp once the process was done, and then it' just needs a few minutes at a 'normal' temp to melt the cheese! ^_^ |

Delenn Hobbyist Posts: 139 Kudos: 63 Votes: 10 Registered: 07-Sep-2009 | Wow. That's a lot of heat! I have a self-cleaning thing on my oven. Mine's only accessable if you use the lock function too. I've used it a couple of times, but you have to take everything out of it first. I've read the directions on it, and you have to remove the pizza stone, and the racks (and the tinfoil I use at the bottom for spills and splatters). Anything that doesn't come off from the self-clean mode I get with Easy Off. That stuff works great! |

brandeeno Mega Fish Posts: 929 Kudos: 636 Registered: 13-Sep-2007 | babel, do you think yo could message me your zucchini muffin recipe? our zucchini plants have been puttin gout giants and i really want (my mom) to be able to make some and bring them up to me at school to think i gre those gian plants from little bitty seeds, first real agricultural/crops raising experience and i love it! as far as nightmare mixes, i have boughten a pancake mix and a choclate cake mix from a commercail warehouse store in CA. The choco cake tasted like dirt and mostly flavorless. the pancakes never rose and tasted burnt and dirty, although they were perfectly cooked and prepared according to the directions. I figured maybe it was a bad batch took it back and exhanged for a new bag, same results... never buy mixes that are from S#A*t & F^n@l, at least not their generic brands! other than that i love instant pudding and etc \\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\" |

Mez Ultimate Fish Guru Asian Hardfeather Enthusiast Posts: 3300 Votes: 162 Registered: 23-Feb-2001 | Pizza ovens are amazing. I used to work somewhere with one, very very hot, steaks cooked in a minute, cooking stir fry veg is just insane, we're talking, 30 seconds and its overcooked. You can make your own pizza oven, usually from brick. I reccomend you do it outside though, pending upon how forgiving Adam is when it comes to petty things like, house fires |

This is another That I found to be very yum as a savory muffin. I added some sun dried tomatoes (using the oil from that instead of plain olive oil) and some romano cheese and they came out stunning. The bad thing about using the mini muffin tins is they are eaten too quick!!! Enjoy! ^_^ |
