Microsoft happened.

I am spending every spare second I have rewriting the site for a Linux server. I just wish I had more spare seconds.

I appreciate you trying to cover for me, Adam, but I have to tell the truth.

It was me. It was all me. I did it.

Hi Adam,
No worries mate! The system is working fine now and
has been for years, I would not go overboard on the
time thing, else Babel will get all feisty up on you!

It worked at 1730 this evening when I came in from work.

Lemme know ahead of time, next time Joe.

Frank

Frank during our mornings and early afternoons FP has been slower that the old Dial Up in fact some times it was taking me up to a minute to do a simple movement eg post a reply etc even refresh would not work.
I thought it might be either my computer or provider but the cooking forum I use at the same times is as fast as ever.

Keith, it's been slow for me like that too for a very long while. I've found what helps with the lag in replying to the post....is to stop the load with the X in your browser toolbar, then reselecting 'post reply'

Adam is trying to get as much coding done on the new system as he can.

Thank you Babel

I will try that. Funny its only in the morning I suppose the other half of the world have not gone to bed yet, and the school children at school are on line as well.

Sorry I'm so hit-n-miss here of late guys, I do miss the chats with you guys, for what its worth, Firefox is one of the better, if not the best browsers out there, then again ANYTHING is better than " internet exploder "(any version).
I've been better off ever since I disabled it, NEVER delete it or try to uninstall it, ( made that mistake just once).... seems to be the equivalent of a full frontal lobotomy in the os.... what a mess that was... lol
