Hi there,

I just bought a JEBO light and am wondering if anyone else has?

I have known JEBO hardware to be pretty dodgy but the light I bought is perfect for what I want being a small light.

Anyhow, its a JB09 if that means anything

and this is the company home page:

hi troy mclure. you may remember me from such posts as, "Will my Oscar taste good deep fried?" and, " Help! BGA has taken over my room!"

Sorry. Poor attempt at humor. I'm sure you havent heard THAT a million times. Dig the name, though. anyway...

Jebo is a chinese company that makes pretty crappy lighting equipment. Luckily I'm a pretty crappy guy, so I bought a Jebo hood myself a while back. The way I see it is, it's not solid at all, but for the price, who cares? I gutted it and put in a better reflector, it works better now. All I wanted was something to hold compact flour. lights and now I have it. Their website is pretty useless though. If i ever get a few hundred dollars to blow on a better light set-up, I think i will, but for now I'm happy. Good luck with your purchase!

Troy why bother if you know some thing is as you put it "doggy" especially if it electrical. It very well may be an expensive excercise as you will have to go and buy another unit soon to replace that one. Does not make any sense to me by wasting money on something like that, when with the both costs you could have a very reliable unit in the first place.

LOL! You always know that the deal that looks to good to be true...

I bought a JEBO UV Sterilizer. It leaked at the glue joint in the cylindrical body. The other 4 at the LFS leaked at the same spot. Sooner or later the guy in cell 403 of the Red Guard Prison at the JEBO Industrial Works is going to master that glue gun...:88)

Well, I'll see how it goes then.

It is a small aquarium light made for small aquariums. Thats the only reason I bought it. I cant find any small aquarium lights for small aquariums anywhere. Also, I am yet to hear any horror storys about their lighting.

Thank you nowherman6 and FRANK, your post so far has been the most informative so far.
