I bought a python and its driving me crazy. I can't get it to screw into my faucet. and if i do get it to stay it falls out as soon as turn the water on. If i try to fill my tank up the adapter falls off and shoots water all over my bathroom!

It was working fine the last time i used it. Know i can't get it to stayed screwed in!

Just a good guess that you were heavy handed when you fixed it to the tap. Please correct me if I am wrong your unit is plastic/nylon wheras the tap thread is metal.

If this is the case you have either stripped the thread or crossed threaded it.

Just a guess but I am sure this is what you have done.

Hi,
Assuming that Keith is correct, and the threads are now
"shot" you can purchase an all brass replacement for the
part that will not strip out as easily.
The replacement part will work for either inside or outside
threads. You simply remove an inner washer to expose the
threads other type.

Works like a dream!

OK faucet=tap.

That sounds very strange is the thread on the tap metal usually brass. The only way that can get crossed is by another metal thread.

Easy way to fix it just change the tap, a very simple job with a few tools. Just make sure you turn off the water supply first if not a little water will be everwhere in fact a lot.

Please let us know on this one as it sounds rather unusual.

I think maybe I might have striped it removing or screwing the aeraotor back in.

When you say replace the tap, you mean the whole fixture knobs and everything?

Without seeing it it is hard to say. If it has the on-off handle onn top the answer is yes, If it is just an outlet turning handle sepperate no. You will have to go to a hard ware store and ask them and folow all their instructions. Or get some one to do the job for you.

You slip the gray rubber over the stripped end of your faucet then tighten the screw on the metal band to provide a water tight seal. Maybe, well for a few times, until you're not watching it...

Take the plastic piece from your python the hardware store and find the corresponding brass piece in plumbing. Try it before your buy the "Universal Adaptor". It's cheaper and longer lasting than a work around solution.
